I did not say that East Bay residents are required to have cars. Nor did I say that the East Bay is for residence and SF for recreation/work. My point was that SF does not have enough public parking spaces to accomodate residents AND visitors. If you choose to be a resident of SF you need to accept that reality, and telling people to leave their cars at home to accomodate you is ignorant and selfish. Macy s in Brookdale Mall closed. Only a matter of time before the shopping center goes belly up. Along University Avenue in St. Paul, sit several empty automobile dealerships. Office vacancies are rising in downtown Minneapolis. Only the Mall of America seems to be increasing business. Most of that being tourism.
