Hamilton & Waikato Tourism Business Partnership Programme 2012-13
Hamilton & Waikato Tourism – Business Partnership Programme 2012-13.
Hamilton & Waikato Tourism Ltd (HWT) is the official Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) for the Hamilton & Waikato Region. Our role is to increase visitor numbers, visitor spend and time in the region through creating and coordinating effective marketing and promotional activity. We want to encourage visitors to enjoy the many great experiences our region has to offer and in turn contribute valuable economic, social and cultural benefits to our communities.
How do we do this?
HWT receives Council funding of $810, 000 from our seven city and district councils which enables us to undertake core promotional activities to promote the region to visitors, media and the travel trade. These activities include our regional website hamiltonwaikato.com, media and trade pitches, familiarisations, attendance at trade shows and complimentary local industry events and communications.
We value our relationship and partnership with tourism operators and welcome the opportunity to work with you on marketing activities such as domestic and international campaigns, business tourism opportunities through the Convention Bureau and the production of the regional visitor guide.
Partnering with businesses of all sizes, our goal is to receive 0, 000 worth of industry investment from tourism operators this year. This will enable us to collectively promote the region to visitors through the four partnership programmes below:
• 2013 Official Regional Visitor Guide
• International Marketing
• Domestic Marketing
• Convention Bureau
ADDED INDUSTRY PARTNER BENEFIT
If you are interested in partnering with us on any of the following activities, please on the form below, or give us a call to discuss further.
OFFICIAL 2013 HAMILTON & WAIKATO REGIONAL VISITOR GUIDE
Each year HWT produces the only Official Regional Visitor Guide for the Hamilton & Waikato Region.
This DLE sized guide is a key publication for the region, promoting the many activities, attractions, events and landmarks across the region as well as providing helpful itineraries and maps to assist visitors to plan their time with us. The Visitor Guide provides an editorial section at the front of the guide followed by area sections with more localised information and accommodation, activity, retail and hospitality business adverts and listings.
Distributed in November 2012 the guide will be placed in all i-SITES across the country (used by over 1, 000, 000 visitors per year) as well as in accommodation properties and attractions around the region and other key locations in NZ through the Jasons distribution network. An online version of the Visitor Guide is also downloadable from our website www.hamiltonwaikato.com.
